How should I compare pool quotes in Fort Myers?

Ask each company to quote the same pool: size and shape, interior finish, decking, equipment, lighting and any screen enclosure work. Check who pulls the permits, how payments are scheduled and what each warranty covers. A lower price that leaves out the deck or the electrical work is not really lower.

What should I ask Fort Myers pool contractors about licensing?

Florida generally requires a state-licensed pool/spa contractor to build or remodel a pool, and certified pool/spa license numbers start with CPC. Look up any number on myfloridalicense.com, the state's DBPR site. Cleaning-only companies are not always licensed contractors, which is fine for weekly service but not for structural, plumbing or electrical work. Licensing is mentioned on 17 of the 30 websites we read for Fort Myers, and 10 show a license number (8 with the CPC prefix).
