How should I compare pool quotes in Odessa?

Get written quotes from a few companies for the same scope, so you are comparing like with like. Line up the finish, equipment, decking and enclosure work item by item, and ask who handles permits and inspections. Then compare payment schedules and warranties, and ask each company for recent local jobs you can look at.

What should I ask Odessa pool contractors about licensing?

Florida generally requires a state-licensed pool/spa contractor to build or remodel a pool, and certified pool/spa license numbers start with CPC. Look up any number on myfloridalicense.com, the state's DBPR site. Cleaning-only companies are not always licensed contractors, which is fine for weekly service but not for structural, plumbing or electrical work. No website we read for Odessa mentions licensing, so ask each company for its license number.
